Windows

A stained glass window or panel adds interest and character to any building, domestic or commercial, public or ecclesiatical.

We don't use paints or coloured plastic film but use "art glass". Art glass is coloured and textured during the manufacturing process and will never change colour or shade during the life of your window which will, we hope, outlive you and your family.
Stained glass serves many purposes. Like a painting it may exist purely for pleasure but it can also serve "useful purposes". In a door, whether internal or external, it can provide light while maintaining privacy. The textures within coloured glass distorts vision while allowing light through and makes glass an alternative to net curtains! 0007.jpg (53488 bytes)

Serpent Window.JPG (67579 bytes)

We have made many privacy screens such as the Sunflower panel or the Serpents. The former acts like a cafe curtain whilst the latter saves the dishwasher from a yard full of commercial vehicles but they are still able to see anyone moving about; on sunny days the kitchen is flooded with sparkling coloured light.
Panels can hang inside the window frame, replace existing glass, be enclosed in double glazing units or fix, like secondary glazing, inside the frame. The benefits of the first and last options is that if you move house the glass can go with you. If the panel is incorporated in a double glazing unit it is protected from the elements and is easy to clean; however if it replaces an existing pane of glass it is completely weatherproof and is considered equivalent to safety glass because it is a matrix and very strong but resilient. Designs can vary from the very realistic to abstract and surreal. The only limitation is your imagination. We are always happy to work with the client to achieve a unique solution to the problem or situation presented; with the guarantee that the design will never be copied unless specifically requested by the originating client.
